  1. 1. Where does your business sit:
  2. Is it offering good value for money?
  3. Are you where you expect to be?
  4. a. Is Rehau really competing with all the players in the market mentioned?
  5. b. Do you see clusters e.g., premium price segment, low price segment etc.?
  6. c. Do you trust the price quality trade off?
  7. 2. For the analysis:
  8. a. First show where Rehau is on the value map and come up with a heading i.e. Rehau is the leading quality offering in the xx market
  9. b. Second look on the attribute chart and check in which important attributes Rehau is has an advantage/disadvantage vs competitors
  10. c. Is there qualitative feedback why Rehau is good or bad in the attributes?
  11. d. How does Rehau value positioning relate to your strategy i.e., should you reducing price to compete in the middle price segment?
  12. e. Tell the reader more in detail what Rehau must do to improve their market position e.g., lower the price, improve their quality in attribute a,b,c and also tell them about the competitor which is perceived the best value offering in the market and why.
  13. f. Do a scenario analysis and check what happens if the market becomes more quality driven (or price driven), if competitor a) or Rehau lowers the price. What happens if Rehau improves on attribute d) where they are lacking, etc.?
  14. g. Look on competitors Rehau is really competing against. Maybe they only compete against competitor d, m, y in the premium price segment? For this create a new segmentation or disable/merge competitors which are not relevant.
  15. h. Are the value positionings of existing and unknown competitors what you would have expect and can you see a reason for this?
  16. i. Look for differences in markets and segments which may help you to improve performance.
  17. j. Create action items!
